la terapia de la conciencia

There is the true power: to have eyes and not be afraid. The true healing is acceptance, and the true process is surrender.

Claudio Naranjo

Here are some of the key lessons from Gestalt therapy.

  1. To be present in the moment means uniting attention and consciousness. This is Awareness.

  2. A therapist's objective is to discern the cause of a client's sensation in the present moment by clarifying emotions and focusing on communication in the first person.

  3. Gestalt therapy emphasizes integrity, self-confidence, certainty, and reflective awareness. Personal responsibility lies in the present moment, where we have the opportunity to mature and enjoy ourselves while becoming reacquainted with solitude.

  4. Learning is discovering that something is possible. Realizing our full potential as human beings involves moving forward, growing, and developing self-awareness.

  5. The person most in control is the one who can give up control. Healthier control means being aware of how to react in every moment and allowing ourselves to express our true needs.

  6. Taking care of ourselves and valuing our own worth is ultimately our responsibility. Not accepting or seeing this can lead to endless suffering.

  7. You are not in this world to live up to other people's expectations, nor should you feel the world must live up to yours. When we acknowledge our role in our own experiences, we gain the ability to live authentically and meaningfully, responding to life in a way that aligns with our true selves.

  8. The more you try to avoid suffering, the more you suffer, because smaller and more insignificant things begin to torture you. Avoiding pain and discomfort can actually make our problems worse in the long run. In Gestalt therapy, we learn to face our challenges head-on and embrace our emotions as they are, which can help us find more effective solutions.

  9. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Gestalt therapy recognizes that each person is a unique and integrated whole, not just a collection of separate parts. By integrating “our parts” we fully understand and embrace ourselves.

  10. Awareness requires living in the here and now. By being fully present in the moment, we can become aware of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and gain insight into our problems.Awareness is not just about being conscious of our thoughts and feelings, but also about gaining insight into how we interact with the world around us.

  11. The only thing we can control is our own behavior. In Gestalt therapy, personal responsa-hability is emphasized as a key component. By being responsible for our own experiences, we can regain the freedom to respond to life in a way that is authentic and meaningful to us.

  12. The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing. Mistakes are a natural part of the learning process. In Gestalt therapy, we learn to embrace our mistakes and use them as opportunities for growth.

  13. Your body is your best guide. The body holds valuable information and can guide us towards greater self-awareness. Learn to listen to your body and trust your intuition.

  14. We cannot change what we are not aware of. By being fully present in the moment and becoming aware of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we can gain insight into our problems and bring about change.

  15. The more you know yourself, the more clarity there is. Self-awareness is a key component for gain greater clarity and understanding of our experiences.

  16. The only way out is through. Face our problems head-on and work through them, rather than avoiding them or pretending they don't exist.

  17. The mind is like a parachute: it only works when it's open. An open and curious mind is an essential to approach our experiences for greater insight and understanding.

  18. Life is a process, not a destination. Personal growth and development are ongoing processes, rather than finite destinations.

Gestalt therapy is a powerful tool for personal growth and self-discovery. By embracing awareness, personal responsibility, and the here and now, we can gain valuable insights into ourselves , our relationships and our experiences.
